Coleen's German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • • 2 Cups Sugar
  • • 1 3/4 Cups Flour
  • • 3/4 Cup cocoa powder
  • • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • • 1 tsp salt
  • • 2 large eggs
  • • 1 Cup buttermilk
  • • 1/2 Cup vegetable oil
  • • 2 tsp vanilla
  • • 1 Cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. 1 Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. 2 Mix all wet ingredients together in a separate bowl - except for boiling water
  3. 3 Combine dry and wet ingredients together then mix in boiling water.
  4. 4 Pour batter in greased pan(s) and bake 25-35 minutes at 375 degrees F.
