7 Layer Bars

7 Layer Bars - Cooked dish photo
Dessert

Ingredients

  • 350° (oven temperature)
  • 1 cube butter (melt in 13x9 pan)
  • 1 pkg (10 rect) of graham crackers (grind up and sprinkle over butter)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk - pour over top
  • 1 can graham crackers (this appears duplicated/unclear in handwriting)
  • 1 cup unchopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) (1/2 cup chopped?)
  • 1/3 - 1/2 c. of coconut - sprinkle on top
  • 1/2 bag of semi-sweet choc. chips - sprinkle on top

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. 2 Melt 1 cube of butter in a 13x9 pan (or melt butter and press mixture — handwriting unclear: 'then press, mix/together lightly').
  3. 3 Grind up graham crackers and sprinkle over butter in pan.
  4. 4 Pour one can of sweetened condensed milk over the top.
  5. 5 Sprinkle unchopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) over the top.
  6. 6 Sprinkle coconut on top.
  7. 7 Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips on top.
  8. 8 Bake 25-30 minutes.

Notes

Handwritten recipe is somewhat unclear in places (duplication of 'graham crackers' and nut amounts). Oven temp is 350°F; bake time 25–30 minutes. Use walnuts or pecans for nuts. Amounts for some items (exact cups for nuts/chopped nuts) are approximate based on handwriting.
